ANDREW S. GILBERT
“STEPHEN CUTHBERT”
Andrew S. Gilbert has appeared in over twenty Australian feature films. He has received AFI nominations for his work as best supporting actor in MULLET and PAPERBACK HERO, along with nominations for KISS OR KILL and PAPERBACK HERO from the Film Critics Circle Australia Awards. He won the 1997 AFI Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for KISS OR KILL and in 2001 the Film Critics Circle Australia Award for Best Supporting Actor in MULLET. Andrew has appeared in some of Australia’s most recognised television series, including Series 3 and 4 of ‘ROUND THE TWIST as Tony Twist and BED OF ROSES (Series 1, 2 and 3).
Andrew has worked on stage all over Australia specialising in the development and production of new Australian plays. He has appeared in world premier theatre productions at the Sydney and Melbourne Festivals and devised, directed and performed for the Melbourne and Sydney Fringe Festivals.
For the past three years he has worked as a lecturer in Australian film, at a graduate and postgraduate level, for Boston University’s Sydney program.
